Joel Grim Invited to Speak at
International Conference

Dr. Joel GrimDr. Joel Grim, WFU Alum and Postdoc with the Williams Research Group, has been invited to give a talk at the 12th International Conference on Inorganic Scintillators and their Applications (SCINT 2013) in Shanghai, China.

The conference will bring together experts on scintillator material developments as well as those who are involved in scintillator applications. Scintillation-based radiation detectors are utilized in traditional nuclear and high energy physics research, homeland security, as well as medical and industrial equipment. Dr. Grim's talk entitled "Nonlinear quenching of densely excited states in scintillators and semiconductors studied by an interband z-scan technique" will be a welcome contribution to the conference.
