Graduate Fund
This is our fund to support our graduate students in their professional development, such as funding to present research at national and international conferences, workshops for professional skills improvement, and funds to provide the Department with resources to offer promising graduate program applicants Fellowships. These activities will all improve the quality of our graduate students, and enrich their experiences in graduate school

General Fund
This fund supports the faculty and students of the Department in many ways, such as travel funds for undergraduate students to present their research results at regional, national, and international conferences. It also supports faculty and student scholarship by providing funds to bring excellent outside speakers to campus, and to improve our Career Advising by bringing in alumni and friends whose professional careers have been different from that of a typical college professor in the sciences. These funds also support student-sponsored conferences and outreach activities.
